Adjunct Faculty – Psychology (Dual Enrollment)

About the role

The Department of Education at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore seeks part‑time adjunct faculty to teach undergraduate Psychology courses through its Dual Enrollment program. Instructors will deliver college‑level instruction on high‑school campuses, allowing eligible students to earn UMES credit.

Key responsibilities

• Teach assigned Psychology courses in person at partner high schools.
• Follow the high school’s instructional calendar while meeting UMES requirements for course time, content, rigor, and learning outcomes.
• Use UMES‑approved syllabi, assessments, and course materials.
• Maintain academic standards, student learning outcomes, and assessment practices established by the Department.
• Collaborate professionally with high‑school administrators, counselors, teachers, and UMES representatives to support student success.

• Qualified to teach undergraduate Psychology courses.
• Ability to deliver rigorous, college‑level instruction to high‑school students.
• Commitment to uphold UMES academic standards and assessment policies.
• Willingness to work collaboratively with high‑school and university staff.
