Adjunct Faculty in Bilingual Education

About the role

The Department of Educator and Leadership Preparation seeks an Adjunct Faculty member to teach Bilingual Education courses for the Fall 2026 term. The position is non‑tenure track and involves delivering undergraduate and graduate instruction in both face‑to‑face and online/hybrid formats.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver course syllabi, lectures, and assessments in Bilingual Education and ESL.
• Maintain accurate student records, assign grades, and report required data to the department.
• Participate in curriculum development and departmental meetings.
• Advise and mentor students, including pre‑service teachers.
• Contribute to professional development activities and student recruitment as needed.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Education or a related field with at least 18 graduate hours in Bilingual Education (Spanish) or TESL.
• Demonstrated knowledge of theoretical and pedagogical approaches to bilingual and ESL instruction.
• Experience teaching or working in K‑12 bilingual or ESL settings.
• Fluency in spoken and written Spanish.
• Availability to teach during daytime hours (evening considered).
