Adjunct Faculty – Emergency Medicine

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member for its Northwest Arkansas Emergency Medicine Residency program. This volunteer position involves providing high‑quality emergency care while supervising and mentoring residents in a fast‑paced Emergency Department.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver safe, evidence‑based emergency medical care to patients.
• Supervise, coach, and evaluate Emergency Medicine residents during clinical shifts.
• Lead clinical decision‑making and ensure adherence to departmental safety and efficiency standards.
• Model professional behavior and promote a patient‑centered, cost‑effective care environment.
• Participate in resident education activities, including didactics and procedural training.

Required profile

• Board‑certified/eligible Emergency Medicine physician licensed to practice in Arkansas.
• Fully vaccinated against COVID‑19 or holds an approved medical/religious exemption.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
• Strong commitment to resident education and collaborative teamwork.
