Adjunct Faculty – Construction Management Technology

About the role

The University of Maryland Eastern Shore seeks an Adjunct Faculty member to teach in the Construction Management Technology program at the Shady Grove campus in Rockville, MD. The position is part‑time, with a typical load of one to two courses scheduled in the afternoons or evenings.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate courses covering construction practice, building systems, structures, cost estimation, and construction safety.
• Report to the Regional Director at the Shady Grove campus and coordinate with department staff.
• Maintain course materials, assess student performance, and provide mentorship.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Relevant industry certifications and/or professional experience.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and mentoring abilities.
• Commitment to equity and inclusion in teaching.
• Physical ability to stand, bend, lift up to 25 lb, and interact with diverse constituents.
