Adjunct Faculty – Competency Based Ministry (Remote)

About the role

South College is seeking a remote adjunct faculty member to teach and mentor graduate and doctoral students in its new Competency‑Based Education (CBE) Ministry programs – the Master of Arts in Ministry (MAM) and the Doctor of Ministry (DMin). The role focuses on delivering high‑quality online instruction, providing timely feedback, and supporting student success.

Key responsibilities

• Teach and mentor students in MAM and/or DMin courses using online platforms.
• Respond to student inquiries within 24 hours and grade submissions within 72 hours.
• Proactively reach out to inactive or at‑risk students.
• Stay current with developments in practical theology and ministry leadership.
• Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum development, and academic activities.
• Ensure courses comply with South College standards and accrediting requirements.

Required profile

• Significant experience (5+ years preferred) in theological education at the graduate or doctoral level.
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate student work in an online environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Commitment to an inclusive, multi‑denominational perspective anchored in the Nicene Creed.
