Adjunct Faculty – Business, Management & Accounting

About the role

The Department of Business, Management and Accounting at UMES is seeking experienced professionals to join as adjunct faculty. You will teach one to three undergraduate courses per semester in your area of expertise, mentor students, and contribute to departmental initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality instruction for 1‑3 undergraduate courses each semester.
• Advise and mentor students on academic and career matters.
• Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum development, and other activities.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Department Chair.

Required profile

• Master’s or doctoral degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a closely related field.
• Professional certification such as CPA is preferred.
• Prior experience teaching at the college level is desirable.
