Adjunct Faculty – Advanced Manufacturing Instructor (Part‑Time)

About the role

The Georgia Piedmont Technical College is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member to teach Advanced Manufacturing courses on a part‑time basis at its Clarkston Campus. The instructor will deliver classroom and laboratory instruction in a range of manufacturing disciplines, ensuring a safe and effective learning environment for students.

Key responsibilities

• Teach and supervise students in subjects such as mechatronics, electrical/electronic controls, robotics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and automated systems.
• Develop, update, and deliver curriculum, course syllabi, lesson plans, and instructional materials aligned with industry standards.
• Assess student progress, maintain records, and provide academic advising and mentorship.
• Support student recruitment, advisement, and retention efforts.
• Ensure compliance with program accreditation, state, and institutional requirements.
• Maintain labs, equipment, and supplies while adhering to safety and security procedures.
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, and industry partners to align instruction with workforce needs.
• Participate in departmental, college‑wide, and community committees and projects.
• Complete required documentation, reports, and administrative tasks.

Required profile

• Ability to teach advanced manufacturing topics in both classroom and laboratory settings.
• Physical capability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lb and to travel between campuses or partner sites as needed.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe learning environment and following safety procedures.
