About the role

Georgia Piedmont Technical College is seeking an Adjunct English Instructor to join its Arts & Sciences program. The position involves teaching credit‑bearing English courses to adult learners and high‑school students in a technical college setting.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver lesson plans for classroom, laboratory, and online instruction.
• Follow approved course syllabi and maintain accurate grade books and records.
• Assess student performance using appropriate testing and grading procedures.
• Maintain inventory of assigned teaching materials and equipment.
• Adapt schedule to offer day, evening, or online classes as needed.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in English from a regionally accredited institution (or related field with 18 graduate semester hours in English).
• Strong communication abilities and capacity to work with a diverse student population.
• Willingness to teach at multiple campuses, dual‑enrollment academies, or high‑school sites.
• Flexibility to handle split teaching days and varied class formats.
