Adjunct Chemistry Instructor – Part‑time

About the role

Lanier Technical College is seeking a qualified Adjunct Chemistry Instructor to teach part‑time courses across its campuses. The role involves delivering in‑person and hybrid chemistry classes, preparing curriculum, and supporting student success.

Key responsibilities

• Provide professional instruction based on approved course syllabus and ensure learning outcomes are met.
• Prepare curriculum, lesson plans, and course materials for assigned chemistry classes.
• Evaluate student progress through examinations, assignments, and grading.
• Maintain accurate records of student grades and attendance.
• Attend in‑service training, workshops, and seminars as required.
• Ensure safety and security standards in laboratory and training environments.
• Meet all academic deadlines and complete required trainings.
• Engage with students, staff, and supervisors as needed.

Required profile

• Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Chemistry.
• Ability to develop lesson outlines and instructional materials.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of student information systems and vocational subject matter.
• Preferred: prior post‑secondary teaching experience and experience with online instruction.
