About the role

The Department of Natural Sciences seeks a part‑time, non‑tenure‑track Adjunct Faculty member to teach undergraduate chemistry courses. The role involves delivering face‑to‑face lectures and laboratory sessions in Organic Chemistry and General Chemistry during daytime hours.

Key responsibilities

  • Teach lecture courses in Organic Chemistry and General Chemistry.
  • Conduct laboratory sessions, ensuring a safe learning environment.
  • Prepare course materials, assignments, and assessments.
  • Maintain laboratory safety standards and equipment.
  • Evaluate student performance and provide feedback.

Required profile

  • Master’s degree in Chemistry or a related field from a regionally accredited institution.
  • At least 18 graduate credit hours in a related area.
  • Preferred: Ph.D. in Chemistry or related field.
  • Experience teaching at the college level is preferred.
  • Ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds.

Required skills

  • Strong knowledge of Organic Chemistry.
  • Strong knowledge of General Chemistry.
  • Laboratory safety management.
  • Quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
