Adjunct Biology Instructor

About the role

The State of Georgia seeks a qualified Adjunct Biology Instructor to deliver undergraduate biology courses and associated laboratory sessions. This part‑time, temporary role supports teaching at the Vidalia and/or Swainsboro campuses and may extend to local high schools.

Key responsibilities

• Teach credit courses such as General Biology I & II, Anatomy & Physiology I & II, and Microbiology.
• Conduct laboratory sessions that complement each lecture course.
• Prepare syllabi, assignments, and assessments in line with accreditation standards.
• Maintain a safe and effective learning environment for students.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in biology (or related field) from a regionally accredited institution.
• At least 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline.
• Post‑secondary teaching experience preferred.
• Credentialed to satisfy all relevant accrediting bodies for assigned courses.
