Adjunct Barbering Instructor

About the role

The State of Georgia, through Central Georgia Technical College, seeks an Adjunct Barbering Instructor to deliver barbering education at Twiggs County High School. This part‑time position involves classroom, evening, or online instruction and may require travel within the college’s service area.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver lesson plans, syllabi, and instructional materials for all phases of the barbering curriculum.
• Evaluate student progress, maintain grade books, and complete required reports, records, and invoices.
• Maintain program requirements, attend professional development, and ensure compliance with Technical College System of Georgia policies.
• Provide student support, meet with college personnel, and participate in dual‑enrollment or distance‑learning programs as needed.
• Travel to assigned campus or site locations and manage inventory of assigned properties.

Required profile

• Under general supervision, capable of teaching the full barbering curriculum.
• Strong knowledge of current in‑field barbering procedures and teaching techniques.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and follow accreditation standards.
• Willingness to travel within the service area and adapt to varied instructional delivery methods.
