Additive Manufacturing Technician (SLS & EBM)

About the role
Enovis is seeking a skilled Additive Manufacturing Technician to support the production of orthopedic and implantable medical devices using powder‑bed fusion technologies. The role focuses on operating and maintaining both polymer SLS and metal EBM systems while ensuring compliance with FDA and ISO 13485 standards.
Key responsibilities
- Operate and monitor EOS P110 SLS systems for polymers such as PA12, medical‑grade nylon, and PEEK.
- Prepare and verify build files using EOSPRINT or equivalent software.
- Handle, sieve, blend, and manage powder inventories, including depowdering and post‑processing.
- Inspect printed parts for dimensional accuracy and surface quality.
- Operate Arcam EBM Q10plus systems for titanium alloy (Ti6Al4V ELI) powders.
- Perform machine setup, vacuum checks, beam calibration, and powder recovery/recycling.
- Support heat‑treatment and hot‑isostatic‑pressing (HIP) coordination.
- Maintain build logs, material traceability, and lot documentation for implantable components.
- Identify and implement process improvements using continuous‑improvement principles (EGX).
- Provide daily KPI updates on management boards and keep accurate records.
Required profile
- Hands‑on experience with Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) and Electron Beam Melting (EBM) systems.
- Familiarity with FDA and ISO 13485 compliance requirements for medical device manufacturing.
- Ability to work in a regulated, quality‑focused environment and follow detailed documentation procedures.
