Accounting Methods Manager – Specialized Tax Services

About the role

PwC is seeking an Accounting Methods Manager to join its Specialized Tax Services team. You will provide expert tax advice on complex accounting methods, fixed‑assets, and R&D tax credits, helping clients navigate intricate tax regulations and optimise their positions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and deliver tax projects from planning through execution, ensuring quality, timelines and budgets are met.
• Coach and mentor junior staff, leveraging their strengths and managing performance.
• Partner with team leadership to uphold professional and technical standards, including PwC tax and audit guidance.
• Identify business opportunities that contribute to the firm’s success and drive innovative, technology‑enabled solutions.
• Handle difficult conversations with clients and stakeholders, escalating issues when necessary.

Required profile

• Manager‑level experience in tax consulting, preferably within a large professional services firm.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to understand system linkages and interactions.
• Proven leadership skills, including coaching, conflict resolution and performance management.
• Commitment to integrity, authenticity and PwC’s purpose and values.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of accounting methods, fixed‑assets tax treatment and R&D tax credit regulations.
• Familiarity with PwC tax and audit guidance and professional conduct standards.
