Accounting Manager – NetSuite, $140-160K + Bonus

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead a team of four in a fast‑paced professional services environment. The role is based in Long Island City and offers a hybrid schedule with easy subway access. You will be responsible for ensuring a seamless month‑end close and accurate financial reporting using NetSuite.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the general ledger accounting process and ensure compliance with GAAP.
• Prepare and manage the monthly close calendar, supervise month‑end and year‑end close activities, including balance‑sheet and income‑statement reconciliations.
• Review and approve journal entries, bank reconciliations, and payroll journal entries in NetSuite.
• Partner with the Controller to maintain the chart of accounts, classes, and departments.
• Develop and enforce accounting policies, internal controls, and support audit documentation.
• Collaborate with Billing and AR teams for accurate revenue recognition.
• Lead, mentor, and evaluate the General Ledger team, fostering a high‑performance culture.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across financial processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing accounting teams in a NetSuite environment.
• Strong knowledge of month‑end close, financial reporting, and GAAP.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills with senior leadership.
