Accounting Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead day‑to‑day accounting operations for a growing multi‑entity organization. This highly visible position offers strong ownership, cross‑functional exposure, and the chance to shape processes while mentoring a small, distributed finance team.

Key responsibilities

• Own the general ledger and ensure accuracy across multiple entities.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and year‑end close processes.
• Partner with finance leadership on technical accounting matters, including revenue and cost considerations.
• Supervise a small team handling accounts payable and accounts receivable across remote and multi‑site locations.
• Perform account reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analyses.
• Oversee core accounting operations including AP, AR, and GL activities.
• Manage sales and use tax compliance and filings.
• Support audits and coordinate with external auditors and advisors.
• Ensure timely and accurate regulatory filings, including property tax requirements.
• Streamline workflows and strengthen internal controls.
• Maintain and improve accounting policies and procedures.

Required profile

• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibility.
• Strong foundation in general ledger accounting, compliance, and audit support.
• Experience in manufacturing or inventory‑based environments preferred.
• Proven ability to mentor and develop teams while remaining hands‑on.
