Accounting Manager – Global Consolidation

About the role

Mastercard’s Global Business Solutions Center is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead the monthly, quarterly and annual consolidation processes for its worldwide operations. The role partners with regional accounting, controllership, SEC reporting, treasury, tax and business finance teams to deliver accurate, timely consolidated financial statements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead global consolidation activities, including legal entity roll‑ups, intercompany eliminations and foreign‑currency translation adjustments.
• Review and approve complex journal entries that affect consolidated financial statements.
• Prepare and review consolidated balance sheet, income statement, cash‑flow and equity schedules.
• Coordinate quarterly footnotes, roll‑forward schedules and supporting documentation for internal and external reporting.
• Partner with regional accounting teams to ensure timely close execution across all entities.
• Review general‑ledger reconciliations, investigate significant fluctuations and consolidation variances.
• Collaborate with Finance, Tax, Treasury, Business Finance, Investor Relations and External Reporting stakeholders on accounting assessments and special projects.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and providing technical accounting explanations.
• Drive continuous process‑improvement initiatives focused on close optimization and automation.
