Accounting Coordinator – Small Business Development Center

About the role

The Louisiana Small Business Development Center (LSBDC) network seeks an Accounting Coordinator to manage day‑to‑day financial operations for its contracts and grants. You will support the network’s financial oversight, ensuring accurate budgeting, invoicing, and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review budgets, program narratives, and sub‑award agreements.
• Process monthly invoices from subcontractors and reconcile financial reports to funding agencies.
• Maintain supporting documentation, assist with audits, and produce quarterly financial and programmatic reports.
• Coordinate with LSU Office of Sponsored Programs, Sponsored Program Accounting, and Procurement Services.
• Utilize LSU Workday, GeauxGrants, and related systems for journal entries, budget transfers, and P‑card purchases.
• Develop, maintain, and implement financial and programmatic policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Professional experience in accounting or grant finance.
• Familiarity with LSU financial policies and sponsored‑program processes.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple contracts and sub‑awards.
• Effective communication skills for coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
