About the role
The Accounting & Compliance Specialist supports the Division of Agriculture by ensuring accurate financial accounting data and compliance with internal and external reporting requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Review and process Workday transactions for compliance and accuracy.
- Prepare and upload data files using mass data upload tools.
- Prepare and post accounting journals and budget amendments.
- Generate various financial reports, including state, federal, and ad‑hoc reports.
- Assist with year‑end closing processes.
- Perform general ledger account reconciliations.
- Gather and review financial data for reporting purposes.
Required profile
- Experience in accounting or finance functions.
- Familiarity with financial reporting standards and compliance.
- Ability to work with large data sets and perform detailed analysis.
