Accounting Clerk – Client Billing & Invoicing

About the role

Lippes Mathias, a national law firm, is seeking an experienced Accounting Clerk to join its Jacksonville office. The primary focus of the role is client billing and invoicing, supporting the firm’s finance operations while maintaining high accuracy and confidentiality.

Key responsibilities

• Support general accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing.
• Process vendor invoices, verify accuracy and timeliness, and enter data into the accounting system.
• Generate and distribute client billing notices and monitor outstanding payments.
• Assist in the preparation, review, and collection of client billings.
• Enter financial data into accounting software or spreadsheets with precision.
• Reconcile credit‑card statements and support other accounting tasks as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an Accounting Clerk or similar role, preferably in a professional services environment.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical ability.
• Ability to handle confidential financial information responsibly.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
