Accounting and Finance Lead

About the role

The Accounting and Finance Lead manages day‑to‑day accounting and financial operations, ensuring accurate, compliant processes while supporting the Director of Finance and Controller.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full monthly accounting cycle, bank reconciliations, and month‑end close support.
• Oversee accounts payable/receivable, invoice processing, vendor payments, and grant invoicing.
• Track grant and contract expenses, prepare financial reports, and support budget development.
• Establish and monitor internal controls, support audit preparation, and ensure compliance with GAAP and funder requirements.
• Identify process inefficiencies, develop SOPs, and train finance staff and program managers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
• 3–5 years of accounting/finance experience with supervisory responsibilities.
• Experience in nonprofit or grant‑funded environments and supporting audits.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets proficiency.
• QuickBooks experience (highly preferred).

• Salary $64,000 – $72,000 per year.
