Accountant – US

About the role

The Accountant will support core accounting operations for Grunenthal’s U.S. entity, reporting to the Senior Manager, Accounting. The role ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal controls, and provides timely data to business partners.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, schedules and reconciliations for month‑end close.
• Maintain balance‑sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items.
• Support internal and external audit activities and SOX compliance documentation.
• Perform bank account reconciliations and cash reporting.
• Record and reconcile intercompany and treasury transactions.
• Assist with payroll processing and corporate credit‑card expense review.
• Support Procure‑to‑Pay, fixed‑asset accounting, budgeting and forecasting.
• Collaborate with HR, IT, Procurement and tax advisors on data accuracy and tax compliance.

Required profile

• Solid technical accounting foundation with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a regulated, matrixed environment.
• Experience with month‑end close, balance‑sheet reconciliations and audit support.
• Familiarity with U.S. GAAP and internal control processes.

What we offer

• Salary range $70,000 – $95,000 per year.
• Long‑Term Incentive Plan equal to 10% of base salary.
