Accountant

About the role

Join the finance team of a leading U.S. Bank subsidiary, providing essential accounting support for a global payments platform. You will ensure accurate financial records, develop reporting tools, and collaborate with auditors and regulators.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and control various accounting functions, including general and subsidiary ledgers.
• Reconcile accounts and prepare accurate financial statements and reports.
• Develop and maintain automated accounting systems, controls, and procedures.
• Produce management and regulatory reports as required.
• Respond to inquiries from management, external auditors, and regulatory bodies regarding accounting policies and issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent work experience.
• At least five years of experience in financial accounting activities.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and related regulations.
• Ability to identify exceptions, analyze data, and resolve issues.
• CPA or CMA certification is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• In‑depth understanding of GAAP.
• Experience with automated accounting systems and financial reporting tools.
