Accountant I – Treasury Support

About the role

The Accountant I supports Perry Homes' Treasury function within the Accounting department. You will review daily bank activity, prepare journal entries, and ensure cash‑related transactions are accurately recorded and properly documented.

Key responsibilities

• Review daily cash activity companywide, identify, code, support, and record bank transactions.
• Prepare and submit journal entries for cash, banking, land acquisitions, job costs, overhead expenses, and monthly accruals.
• Perform ledger and account reconciliations, research variances, resolve discrepancies, and maintain supporting documentation.
• Maintain schedules and reports tracking treasury‑related activity, including monthly sales, releases, closings, and property financial worksheets.
• Research unidentified or unusual bank transactions and coordinate with internal departments for proper support and coding.
• Communicate with department and construction personnel to clarify transaction details and ensure accurate financial recording.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; college degree in accounting preferred.
• At least 1 year of relevant accounting experience, preferably with cash management, bank transactions, reconciliations, or treasury‑related accounting.
• Exposure to MS Dynamics 365 is a plus.
