Accountant / Bookkeeper

About the role

Moxie Bread Co. is looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant/Bookkeeper to join its team and manage day‑to‑day financial operations. The role is in‑house, requiring accurate record‑keeping, payroll processing, and support for financial reporting and budgeting in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain up‑to‑date financial records, record daily transactions and journal entries.
• Reconcile bank, credit‑card and loan statements.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, process invoices, vendor payments and customer billing.
• Monitor cash flow, prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports, including profit & loss, balance sheet and cash flow statements.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and expense tracking.
• Process payroll, maintain payroll records and support tax filings.
• Coordinate with external CPA or tax professionals and ensure compliance with financial policies.
• Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems and support audits.

Required profile

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (preferred).
• 2–5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• High level of accuracy, organization and confidentiality.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Restaurant 365 (preferred).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Google Workspace.
