Account Manager - Security Operations

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring an Account Manager in West Columbia, SC. The Account Manager leads daily security operations, guides and develops a team of security officers and supervisors, and acts as the main point of contact for clients.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule security officers using AI-powered tools, meeting client contract hours while minimizing unbilled overtime
• Hire, coach and manage security officers and supervisors, overseeing payroll, performance and employee relations
• Act as the primary client contact and respond to escalated incidents and emergencies
• Oversee training, safety and site operational standards, and manage inventory of uniforms and equipment

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; licensing may be required depending on state and local law
• Valid driver's license if driving a company or personal vehicle while on business
• At least two years of experience in business operations, security management or team supervision
• Experience building and retaining a team and developing client relationships
• Knowledge of emergency preparedness, physical security protocols, risk assessments and law enforcement coordination
• Preferred: college degree in business administration or a law enforcement field, and experience in security, facility management or payroll/billing/scheduling

• Effective communication with clients and employees while managing multiple projects
• Financial acumen: controlling staffing levels, overtime and inventory costs
• Nice to have: CCTV, access control and badge administration aptitude; ASIS CPP certification; public safety academy graduate
