Account Manager – IT Technology Sales (Education focus)

About the role

GigaKOM is expanding its SLED presence in Southern California and seeks an Account Manager to drive technology sales focused on K‑12 education. You will build long‑term partnerships with district leaders and deliver solutions that support digital learning and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, prospect and secure new K‑12 district opportunities across San Diego, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and Imperial counties.
• Develop trusted advisor relationships with superintendents, CIOs, IT directors and procurement officials.
• Manage public‑sector procurement processes including RFPs, RFQs, bids and cooperative purchasing contracts.
• Leverage E‑Rate, ESSER and other education funding programs to structure competitive proposals.
• Present networking, security, wireless and infrastructure solutions to both technical and executive audiences.
• Maintain a robust sales pipeline, forecast accurately and achieve revenue and margin targets.

Required profile

• 5+ years of sales experience, preferably in SLED or public‑sector environments.
• Proven success selling technology solutions into K‑12 school districts.
• Strong understanding of public procurement cycles and education funding mechanisms.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
