Account Manager – Energy Solutions (Houston)

About the role

Universal Energy Solutions is seeking full‑time Account Managers to serve commercial customers throughout the Greater Houston area. In this position you will work directly with business owners to evaluate their electricity and natural gas supply plans, propose competitive options, and build lasting relationships that generate recurring revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Meet face‑to‑face with local business owners and decision‑makers to discuss energy usage and cost‑saving opportunities.
• Review current electricity and natural gas contracts and identify more favorable supplier options.
• Recommend tailored energy solutions that align with each customer’s operational needs.
• Maintain and grow an existing portfolio of commercial accounts while prospecting for new business.
• Travel within a 30‑mile radius of the office to service assigned territory.
• Support customers through contract renewals and ongoing energy requirements.

Required profile

• Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine interest in helping businesses reduce expenses.
• Ability to build and sustain long‑term customer relationships.
• Self‑motivated with a focus on both relationship management and new‑business development.
• Willingness to work onsite and travel locally as needed.
