Account Manager – Commercial Lines (Aviation)

About the role

The Account Manager will oversee a portfolio of commercial aviation accounts, ensuring client retention and supporting new business acquisition. The position is primarily remote, working on an EST schedule, with occasional on‑site requirements at the Gainesville, GA office.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain technical competence and industry expertise in aviation insurance.
• Lead the daily activities of the account management team.
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations, renewals, and the renewal submission process.
• Monitor accounts receivable, address delinquent balances, and collect outstanding payments.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms with accurate data.
• Track activity and suspense items to ensure timely completion.
• Communicate workload status and issues transparently to the team.
• Deliver proactive, high‑quality service and anticipate client needs.
• Stay current with company policies and continuously improve team performance.

Required profile

• 3+ years of account management experience or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
• Active insurance licensing; professional designation (CIC) preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities.
• Excellent communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent (additional education a plus).
