Academic Tutor – Elementary & High School Students

About the role

Proximity Learning is seeking enthusiastic and patient Academic Tutors to support elementary and high school students in math, grammar, and reading. Tutors will use proven educational platforms to enhance student learning and track progress.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑on‑one or small‑group tutoring for elementary and high school students.
• Teach math, grammar, and reading using Khan Academy, Moby Max, and iReady software.
• Supervise and manage student groups, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance and academic performance.

Required profile

• COVID‑19 vaccinated and able to pass a national background check.
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
• At least 20 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent; higher education coursework preferred.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Minimum one year of experience in youth camp, early childhood education, tutoring, coaching, or similar roles.
