ABSN Clinical Adjunct Nursing Faculty

About the role

The Accelerated BSN (ABSN) Clinical Adjunct faculty in the Oxley College of Health Sciences expand clinical offerings by providing additional teaching resources and subject‑area expertise. Adjunct faculty are hired to teach a specific clinical practicum rotation for an academic semester and report directly to the ABSN program director.

Key responsibilities

• Provide a written clinical schedule to students with expected start and end times.
• Deliver onsite clinical instruction according to the scheduled days and times.
• Create a learning environment that encourages student participation and aligns with the university’s mission.
• Give regular clinical feedback and maintain communication with students throughout each clinical day.
• Supervise students to ensure they complete the required practicum hours.
• Attend meetings as requested by the Department Chair and follow all university policies.

Required profile

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• Unencumbered professional nursing license in the state where the practicum is conducted.
• Subject‑matter expertise in the clinical setting relevant to the rotation.
• Professional experience in the content‑related area.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check and required certifications (e.g., BLS).
