A320 Aircraft Systems Engineer III

About the role

Airbus Commercial Aircraft seeks an experienced Aircraft Systems Engineer to join the Engineering department in Mobile, AL. The role focuses on the A320 Family MAP Systems, delivering technical solutions for aircraft systems non‑conformities directly on the Final Assembly Line, flight line, and delivery center.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, justify, and obtain engineering approval for design solutions addressing system non‑conformities (NCs or ALBs) discovered during assembly, testing, and production flights.
• Provide live on‑aircraft troubleshooting, assess test data, and ensure corrective actions meet internal guidelines, SLAs, customer expectations, and regulatory requirements.
• Act as the technical interface between local manufacturing operations and Airbus Design Offices, coordinating with transnational engineering teams.
• Support aircraft readiness from section delivery through final ferry flight, delivering technical explanations to Flight Test and handling presentations for internal or external customers.
• Create, validate, and authorize design corrective actions, drawing updates, temporary aircraft definitions, and concessions while maintaining safety and airworthiness accountability.

Required profile

• Strong background in aircraft systems engineering, preferably with experience on the A320 family.
• Proven ability to work in fast‑paced production environments and deliver high‑quality engineering solutions on time.
• Excellent understanding of regulatory frameworks, service level agreements, and safety standards.
