A220 Flight Line Mechanic – Contract Position

About the role

Airbus is seeking a Contract Flight Line Mechanic for the A220 program at its Mobile, Alabama manufacturing facility. The role focuses on preparing newly built aircraft for test flights and delivery by performing functional testing and pre‑ and post‑flight inspections.

Key responsibilities

• Execute Functional Test Procedures (FTP) on A220 aircraft.
• Conduct pre‑flight and post‑flight inspections to ensure flight‑line readiness.
• Operate, test, troubleshoot, repair and inspect aircraft systems using approved data.
• Utilise a variety of test equipment and specialised tooling.
• Interpret technical manuals, drawings and engineering data to support maintenance tasks.
• Complete assigned work within allocated man‑hours while adhering to safety, quality and cost guidelines.

Required profile

• Experience with aircraft systems testing and flight‑line maintenance.
• Ability to read and apply technical manuals, schematics and engineering documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety regulations.
• Capability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced production environment.
