5-Axis CNC Programmer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced 5‑Axis CNC Programmer to join our Houston facility. In this on‑site role you will create precise CNC programs for 5‑axis milling machines and lathes, working closely with engineers and machinists to drive efficiency and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement CNC programs for 5‑axis milling and lathe operations using Mastercam.
• Design and install new fixtures for product lines.
• Utilize CAD/CAM software for programming and simulation of machining operations.
• Conduct machine setups with machinists, ensuring proper tooling and fixtures.
• Perform quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and CMM equipment.
• Apply GD&T principles to verify compliance with design specifications.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and quality managers to identify lean‑manufacturing improvements.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and adjust programs to optimize performance.

• Proven experience in 5‑axis CNC programming within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong ability to work with engineers, machinists, and quality personnel.
