401(k) Operations Analyst (Hybrid, Boston)

About the role

Mercer is looking for a motivated Operations Analyst to join its Mercer Wise team. Based in Boston (or any U.S. Mercer office), this hybrid position supports corporate 401(k) plans, acting as the primary point of contact for a select book of business.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily client inquiries, ensuring payrolls are processed and funded on time.
• Provide operational support for client implementations and ongoing service, following established procedures.
• Identify and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency.
• Research and resolve issues in line with Mercer standards.
• Assist clients with communications, legal notices, and annual testing/reporting (including Form 5500).
• Utilize Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for reporting and analysis.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of experience in 401(k) administration or five years in a related operations/call‑center role.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a hybrid environment.
