3rd Shift S&S Operator – Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking a reliable 3rd‑shift S&S Operator to join our manufacturing team in Crossville, TN. The position works the night shift on the tile production line, ensuring that all tile sizes, bevels, and quality standards are met while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Verify tile sizes, bevels, and line stones for accuracy and quality.
• Maintain the production line, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with Maintenance when needed.
• Hand‑load and box tiles, create and label boxes, and prepare shipping labels for pallets.
• Operate tow motor, forklift, and hand jack; repair or replace worn parts on the line.
• Scan, wrap, and transport full pallets to the CDC; sort defective pallets for store or scrap.
• Empty hoppers daily, report issues to the next shift, and cross‑train for other positions such as sorter.
• Use the Gemba board to communicate problems and participate in Kaizen continuous‑improvement activities.
• Follow all safety guidelines, wear required PPE, and maintain housekeeping standards.

Required profile

• At least 18 years of age.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Problem‑solving mindset and positive work ethic.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with supervisors and teammates.
• Willingness to work overtime and other shifts as needed.
• Pass a pre‑employment drug test, physical examination, and background check.
