About the role

The 3rd‑5th Grade Math Teacher will join BakerRipley Community Schools to deliver high‑quality, standards‑based mathematics instruction. This role focuses on whole‑child development, linking students and families to community resources while fostering academic achievement in a supportive classroom environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement developmentally appropriate, culturally relevant math curriculum using the Understanding by Design framework.
• Differentiate lesson plans to meet the diverse learning profiles of all students.
• Create aligned formative and summative assessments and use data to refine instruction.
• Establish classroom procedures that maximize learning time and maintain a positive culture of high expectations.
• Deliver instruction that engages every learner, provides frequent checks for understanding, and offers timely feedback.
• Collaborate with grade‑level and content teams to ensure curriculum alignment and consistent academic habits.
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to celebrate successes and address concerns.
• Participate in professional development and continuously reflect on teaching practices.
