X-Plant Manufacturing Engineer II

About the role

Airbus is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II to support its X‑Plant operations at the Mobile Aeroplex facility. You will be responsible for overseeing non‑conformities, design deviations and late changes, ensuring smooth production flow across multiple aircraft lines.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and monitor all non‑conformities, design deviations, OSW and late changes to support production.
• Respond to technical queries, generate work orders, and participate in section handovers.
• Maintain effective communication with European plants, on‑site production teams, quality, suppliers, design engineers and Aircraft Managers.
• Serve as the focal point for FAL activities, coordinating plant activities and supplier interactions.
• Provide technical support to X‑Plant production and act autonomously on one plant while possessing working knowledge of at least two additional plants.
• Lead major topics end‑to‑end within the engineering team.

Required profile

• Strong technical background in aerospace manufacturing processes.
• Ability to coordinate across multiple plants and suppliers.
• Experience handling non‑conformities and design deviation processes.
• Proactive communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
