Workers' Compensation Lost Time Adjuster (Hybrid)

About the role

Davies North America is seeking an experienced Lost Time Adjuster to investigate and adjust Workers’ Compensation claims for its TPA clients. The position is hybrid, requiring three days onsite at the client’s office in Palm Beach County, Florida, and two days remote.

Key responsibilities

• Adjust claims for assigned TPA clients and set appropriate reserves.
• Conduct 24‑hour contacts with employees, employers, physicians, and witnesses.
• Evaluate claim details against Florida statutes and case law to determine compensability and value.
• Initiate indemnity payments, manage diaries, and ensure timely state and EDI filings.
• Collaborate with Nurse Case Managers to monitor medical treatment and approve medical bills.
• Coordinate light‑duty work, reasonable accommodations, and vocational rehabilitation as needed.
• Identify sub‑rogation, contribution, and other recovery opportunities and notify excess carriers.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of experience handling Workers’ Compensation claims.
• Active Florida All‑Lines Adjuster or Workers’ Compensation license with required CEU credits.
• Strong knowledge of Florida Workers’ Compensation statutes, rules, and case law.
• Proactive, independent work style with excellent time‑management and documentation skills.
