WordPress Updates Technician (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a proactive WordPress Updates Technician to keep our clients’ sites current and running smoothly. The role focuses on manually updating WordPress core and plugins, troubleshooting any issues that arise, and ensuring a seamless experience for high‑traffic websites.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and apply available WordPress core and plugin updates across multiple client sites.
• Review changelogs and bug reports to assess potential impact before updating.
• Execute updates using a human‑managed process and perform post‑update quality assurance testing.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that occur after updates.
• Communicate update status and findings with the internal team.
• Assist with additional site maintenance tasks as needed.

Required profile

• Proactive communicator and good researcher.

Required skills

• Intermediate WordPress knowledge.
• Experience with troubleshooting WordPress sites.
• Understanding of servers, web hosting, and SFTP.
