Welder – 3rd Shift TIG/MIG Welding at Philips Facility

About the role

The Latham MR Magnets facility manufactures MRI magnets and other superconducting products for Philips and external customers. As a Welder you will perform high‑quality TIG and MIG welds on aluminum and stainless steel, operating a robotic welding cell on the 3rd shift.

Key responsibilities

• Perform precise TIG and MIG welds on aluminum and stainless steel, including vacuum‑tight welds.
• Set up, monitor, and adjust an automated robotic welding cell, handling routine maintenance.
• Fabricate intricate cryogenic assemblies by cutting, bending, drilling, and tapping metal components.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and supporting documents, using precision measurement instruments.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of welding experience with mechanical assembly tools.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience operating bridge cranes and forklift trucks.
• Ability to follow and sign off documentation procedures.
• US work authorization and residence within commuting distance to Latham, NY.
