Welder – 1st Shift (Latham, NY)

About the role

This position offers a dynamic opportunity to join Philips' Latham, NY facility where magnetic resonance imaging magnets are manufactured. You will work the first shift, performing precision welding and fabrication for cryogenic applications.

Key responsibilities

• Complete high‑quality TIG and MIG welds, including vacuum‑tight welds on aluminum.
• Perform cutting, bending, drilling, tapping and other fabrication operations for cryogenic assemblies.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and supporting documentation.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of welding experience with proficiency in TIG and MIG processes.
• High school diploma or equivalent and ability to operate bridge cranes and forklift trucks.
• Capability to follow and sign off documentation for assembly procedures.
