About the role
TMZ is seeking a Web Editor to edit and prepare video and audio content for web publication and distribution across its digital platforms. The role involves fast‑paced news editing, story development and collaboration with multiple teams in a Los Angeles office.
Key responsibilities
- Edit video and audio using Adobe Premiere.
- Create and export thumbnail images in Photoshop.
- Prepare and export files for affiliates and other outlets.
- Pitch, source and develop stories for TMZ websites.
- Manage content on online video platforms (CMS, YouTube, JW Player).
- Troubleshoot video/audio playback issues.
- Convert and transcode videos in various formats.
Required profile
- Experience editing news stories (a plus).
- Strong editorial judgement.
- Basic web development/HTML knowledge.
- Familiarity with media management systems.
- Team player able to work with different teams.
- Willingness to work full‑time onsite in Playa Vista.
Required skills
