Water/Wastewater Wage Instructor (COAST/TRAIN)

About the role

The Wage Agency Instructor supports TEEX Workforce Development Programs by delivering water and wastewater utility training at the COAST and RAM sites. The role combines classroom instruction, hands‑on demonstrations, and administrative duties to raise technical competence of utility personnel.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare classroom materials and topics for water and wastewater courses.
• Deliver instruction to utility personnel, using teaching aids and demonstrations.
• Complete required administrative paperwork and maintain training records.
• Maintain personal technical competence in water and wastewater systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum three years experience in operation, maintenance, design, construction, or regulation of water utility systems.
• Residency in one of the specified Texas counties.
• Valid motor vehicle driver’s license (or obtain within 30 days).
• Texas Class “B” Water License and Texas Class “B” Wastewater License (or Wastewater Collection II/III).
• One year of adult‑training experience and at least 60 hours of classroom instruction.
• Completion of approved instructor training courses in teaching methods, instructional design, and use of training materials.
