Water Treatment Supervisor – Manufacturing Operations

About the role

The Water Treatment Supervisor will lead the operation of 3M’s wastewater and water‑quality systems at the Cottage Grove plant. You will ensure safe, compliant, and efficient performance while fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all activities related to wastewater and water‑quality systems, ensuring alignment with company standards.
• Provide direct supervision, training, and performance support to plant personnel.
• Promote safety, environmental quality, cost control, morale, and productivity.
• Coordinate with maintenance, engineering, and other departments to maintain reliable system performance and resolve operational issues.
• Conduct incident investigations and present resolutions to site leadership.
• Drive cross‑training, teamwork, and innovation within the team.
• Schedule work priorities, allocate assignments, and monitor workflow against engineering directives.
• Manage shift administrative tasks such as time reporting, attendance, and overtime.
• Support plant leadership initiatives, including coverage for alternative shifts and 24/7 production.

Required profile
