Watch Technician

About the role

RAYMOND WEIL is looking for a full‑time, on‑site Watch Technician to join its New York team. You will work under the Head Watchmaker, diagnosing, repairing and ensuring quality control of both customer‑owned and company‑owned timepieces.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose watches and determine required and optional repairs following company guidelines.
• Collaborate with the Customer Service Team to manage repair files and respond to technical inquiries.
• Disassemble, clean, lubricate, reassemble and test watches efficiently.
• Overhaul and replace ETA and Sellita mechanical movements (e.g., ETA 2824, 2892, 7750; Sellita SW200, SW300, SW500).
• Replace quartz movements (ETA or Ronda) and perform battery replacements.
• Conduct water‑resistance checks and pressure tests using appropriate equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation and tools.
• Report recurring faults to improve overall quality standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred (not mandatory).
• At least 2 years of professional watch‑repair experience (3–5 years preferred).

Required skills

• Watch diagnosis and fault identification.
• Mechanical movement overhaul (ETA 2824, 2892, 7750; Sellita SW200, SW300, SW500).
• Quartz movement replacement (ETA, Ronda) and battery replacement.
• Water‑resistance and pressure testing.
• Disassembly, cleaning, lubrication, reassembly and functional testing of watches.
