VP Finance

About the role

The Vice President of Finance will design and build Lawhive’s finance organization from the ground up, driving financial strategy for the company’s expansion into the US market. Reporting to executive leadership, this senior role will shape the finance function across a multi‑entity structure and support rapid growth.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with executive leadership to provide strategic financial analysis and recommendations that influence platform strategy, resource allocation, and profitability.
• Design the finance organization’s structure, systems, processes, and team, establishing the finance function for a newly created role.
• Lead US market entry, including entity setup, capital and cash management, lender relationships, and acquisition financing.
• Own the annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasting across the Management Services Organization and affiliated law‑firm entities.
• Develop and monitor KPIs and management dashboards to give clear visibility into performance across practice areas, locations, and entities.
• Oversee cash‑flow forecasting, working‑capital, and liquidity management for a multi‑entity structure.
• Support capital allocation decisions, business‑case development, and investor/lender reporting.

Required profile

• Proven senior finance leadership experience, preferably at the VP or CFO level.
• Demonstrated ability to design and scale finance functions in high‑growth, multi‑entity organizations.
• Experience with US market entry, entity formation, and managing lender and investor relationships.
• Strong track record in budgeting, forecasting, KPI development, and cash‑flow management.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with operations, legal, and practice leadership.
