Virtual Medical Front Desk / Receptionist (Bilingual English/Spanish)

About the role

We are looking for a bilingual (English/Spanish) Virtual Medical Front Desk professional to support a busy U.S.-based Pain Management and Spine practice. This full‑time remote contractor will handle high‑volume patient communications, appointment scheduling, and EMR management.

Key responsibilities

• Answer inbound patient calls courteously and make outbound calls for confirmations, rescheduling, reminders, and follow‑up.
• Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments across multiple provider calendars.
• Register new patients and maintain accurate demographics, insurance data, and medical records in eClinicalWorks.
• Verify insurance eligibility, assist with prior authorizations, referrals, and other insurance‑related tasks.
• Route prescription refill requests, clinical inquiries, and messages to the appropriate provider or department.
• Coordinate with providers, imaging centers, and pharmacies to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient confidentiality at all times.

Required profile

• Fluent in spoken and written English and Spanish.
• Minimum two years of experience supporting a U.S. medical practice.
• Experience handling high‑volume inbound and outbound patient calls.
• Strong appointment scheduling and calendar management abilities.
• Excellent communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the eClinicalWorks (eCW) electronic medical record system.

What we offer

• Full‑time contractor role (40 hours per week) with a negotiable pay rate.
• Standard schedule: Monday‑Friday, 8 AM‑4 PM CST.
