About the role

Greenlight is seeking a Video Editor focused on paid social to transform briefs, raw footage, and creator content into fast‑moving, scroll‑stopping videos for platforms such as Meta, TikTok, and YouTube. This hands‑on, production‑oriented position is ideal for an early‑career editor with a strong sense of pacing, hooks, and platform‑native storytelling.

Key responsibilities

• Edit short‑form video assets for paid social using creative briefs, raw footage, and creator‑submitted material.
• Craft compelling hooks and pacing that capture attention within the first 1‑3 seconds and sustain engagement throughout the spot.
• Produce multiple cuts and variants (different lengths, aspect ratios, captions, and hooks) for testing across platforms.
• Collaborate with creative strategists to translate brief objectives into clear visual decisions.
• Incorporate feedback rooted in strategic intent and iterate quickly.
• Ensure final edits meet platform specifications, safe zones, subtitles, and native creative conventions.
• Stay up‑to‑date on platform trends, formats, and high‑performing editing styles.
• Identify gaps in creator footage and propose solutions to maximize edit potential.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of experience editing video for paid social, social media, or digital marketing (agency, in‑house, or freelance).
• Strong portfolio demonstrating short‑form editing skills, including pacing, hooks, captions, and platform‑specific formatting.
• Detail‑oriented, fast‑working, and comfortable handling iterative feedback.
