Victim Services Caseworker

About the role

The International Rescue Committee is seeking a Victim Services Caseworker to provide comprehensive, victim‑centered case management for individuals affected by crime. This role involves direct support, resource navigation, and coordination with community partners to help clients rebuild safety and stability.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct eligibility screenings and complete enrollment paperwork for program participants.
• Develop and monitor individualized service plans, including referrals to legal providers, social services, and community activities.
• Provide crisis intervention, safety planning, emotional support, and assistance with compensation applications.
• Maintain accurate case notes, file management, and data collection for reporting to donors and agency specifications.
• Build and sustain relationships with law‑enforcement agencies, local, state, and federal stakeholders.
• Assist in outreach, training activities, and program meetings to ensure objectives are met.
• Track program activities, compile data, and draft required reports.

Required profile

• Demonstrated commitment to victim‑centered services and humanitarian principles.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with clients, families, and partner agencies.
• Ability to manage multiple cases, prioritize urgent needs, and maintain detailed documentation.
• Experience working with diverse populations and navigating community resources.
